Providng Support Every Step of the Journey

Allow our team of caring and compassionate doulas to support and guide you through your pregnancy, labor, and post partum period. Our basic labor support includes the following: 

One virtual and one in person. This is where we will really familiarize ourselves with the birth process, get to know each other better, talk about your goals for birth, and formulate a plan. Your doula will come to your home and talk about what labor looks like, what to expect, and all of your options during labor and post-delivery. As well as go over some comfort measures for early labor.  At the end of your meeting we will talk about ways to set up for a smooth transition once baby has arrived. 

Once we start working together, your doula will be available to you from 9 am-8pm to answer any questions, provide resources, and offer emotional support via email/phone/text. During this time we will be here to provide education and answer any questions/concerns that may come up. We will also be available to provide resources and offer holistic remedies throughout. At 36 weeks, your doula will be on call 24/7! 

When labor begins, and you have notified us, your doula will want to listen to you on the phone and come up with a short term plan. We will offer advice based on your needs at the time. Once you have asked, or your doula thinks he/she should arrive, they will head to meet you at your house/birth center/hospital. Your doula will be there to provide comfort measures, offer positioning advice, make sure Mom and partner are comfortable and cared for, provide support, and offer evidence based education. Your doula will remain with you for 1-2 hours post-birth to make sure Mom and Baby are comfortable, feeding has been initiated, and all questions have been answered. 

Within 30 days, we want to see you at least once during your post partum period in person to talk about your birth, address any questions, help with any feeding issues, and admire your little one. We will be available to assist with lactation, sleeping, and any other things that may come up. Your doula will be available from 9 am-8pm to provide support for you!
