Your Breastfeeding Journey Matters

We understand that though instinctual, breastfeeding can be challenging for a variety of reasons. At Ivy Doula and Lactation, we offer Lactation support with our team of Certified Lactation Consultants via phone, virtually, and in home. Our consultants understand that breastfeeding decisions are made by the mother, and that each mother may have values and goals different from the counselor. A counseling approach is used to gather information and provide appropriate support to the mother and her family. CLCs work as part of the health care team, assuring appropriate referrals and recommendations as well as provide education, counseling and clinical management. 

 At your initial visit we will talk about all of your concerns, do a full assessment, a weighted feeding, and provide education. At the end of your visit we will establish a plan that is sustainable for both you and baby. We feel that continued care is crucial, as things can change day to day. We provide 2 weeks of care, with the option to extend after your visit to make sure things are going smoothly and help to make any adjustments as needed.
