Owner, Student Midwife, Doula, CLC
Hi, I’m Tara! I am a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Lactation Consultant, and Student Midwife. My Journey into birth work was heavily inspired by the birth of my last baby 16 years ago. After a scary delivery with a premature baby, and weeks in the NICU it was clear to me that I wanted to provide support to other families in their own journey. I can remember feeling so isolated and unheard during our journey. I didn't know how just yet, but I knew I wanted to bridge that gap. I spent my first couple of years supporting families as a Newborn Care Specialist, and Post Partum Doula as they began the 4th trimester. 8 years ago I followed my calling to birth work
and have been able to support hundreds of families bringing their little ones into the world. I have supported births in a wide variety; in hospital, at home, birth centers etc. My biggest
passion is home birth however, I feel birth can be beautiful anywhere with the right support.
Doula, LLL Leader, CLC, Placenta Encapsulation Specialist
Hey, I’m Paige! I am a Certified Birth Doula, La Leche League Leader, Lactation Consultant, and a Placenta Arts Specialist Program. I am also in the process of earning a nursing degree. With the end goal of being a Certified Nurse Midwife. My drive for the birth and lactation world grew out of seeing birth firsthand as a young tween with my mother. I was able to be part of her birthing experience with my siblings and watch her breastfeed them exclusively from their first year to 15 months. And this passion grew as I got to help friends and family with their journeys. In my own journey, I have had 5 children and each has been a different experience as far as provider and location. I have birthed with Doctors, and Midwives and in hospitals and birth centers. All had good things, but there were also challenges, especially in the hospital. My lactation journey has been different with each child as well. Each child I nursed between 1 year to 2+ years. We’ve worked through oral ties, reflux, inability to latch, times of exclusively pumping, as well as low supply and oversupply, and a few bouts of mastitis.
Birth Doula, Prenatal Yoga Teacher
Hi, I’m Hunter. I’m a birth doula and prenatal yoga teacher. I strive to give love, compassion, and encouragement for every Being who comes to me for support.
I have 6 years of experience as a birth doula and dreams of being a midwife one day. I have supported over 50 families through prenatal yoga, pregnancy support, labor and birth support, and postpartum support. I love attending both hospital births and home births. I feel I can do the most good in supporting hospital births where doulas can truly make a difference in birth outcomes. I love doing 1 on 1 yoga sessions with my clients. I believe that nervous system regulation is a big part of preparing for birth.
In my spare time, you can find me around the community teaching yoga. My yoga practice focuses on the 8 limbs of yoga. I live in Berryville with my fiancé and together we keep bees and make local honey.
Lactation Specialist, Doula in training, Childbirth Educator In Training
Hi there! My name is Mandee. I am a doula in training, lactation specialist, and aspiring childbirth educator. For nearly a decade I worked as a classroom music teacher in low-income
areas of Philadelphia. I was driven to work with underserved populations because I feel everyone deserves access to quality education, provided in a safe and loving environment by
people who care. I retired from public education in 2018, still passionate about educating, but disenchanted with the public school system.
My transition into birth work, like many, began with my transition into motherhood. My first pregnancy started with standard obstetrical care at a top tier hospital near my home in
Philadelphia. Just over halfway into the pregnancy, my family relocated to Winchester, VA.
